 James and his wife Donna came to Pine Valley Baptist Church on January 7, 2001 from Spartanburg, SC. James' teenage years were formed by godly pastors, leaders, friends and experiences that led him to the calling he serves today. His education includes an Associates degree in music from Anderson University (SC), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University and a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He feels fortunate that his calling to serve God is also his passion. Student ministry is ever changing and he sees his role as not to build a youth group but to build a church "through" the youth group and their families. He has often said, "I am so grateful to be in a line of work that will make a difference that will not rust, break, or fade away."
