Fire House Student Ministries was established on January 7, 2001/ Every event, study and fellowship is seen as an opportunity for God to work in the lives of teens and their families. For too long student ministry has been seen as a compartmentalized division of a church program. We seek to integrate students with their families into the everyday life of the church. The goal is to build families that are true Christ followers, not one who is dependent upon a certain style or structure of worship. STATEMENT OF FAITH: The youth ministry of Pine Valley Baptist church aligns itself with the same beliefs of the church, which are based upon solid biblical interpretation and the Baptist Faith and Message. OUR PURPOSE: The first and foremost purpose of the Student Ministry is to fulfill the Great Commission given in Matthew 28:19-20. The second purpose is to be a resource and help in assisting parents to raise their teens.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The goal of our student ministry is to reach non-believing teenagers, to equip them for their ministry, to care for one another, enjoy other believers and strive to live the love of God. MINISTRY TETRAHEDRON: A tetrahedron is a four sided triangle. Fire is actually a rapid self-sustaining oxidization process (chemical chain reaction) that emits various levels of light and heat. In order for that process to self sustain there must be heat, fuel and oxygen. Firefighters learn how to remove one of those three elements to extinguish the fire. A "Ministry" model can be applied to this same principle. Each event is strategically placed within one or more of the the core values of evangelism, discipleship and servanthood. By providing a ministry that balances these core values results in a "Ministry Chain Reaction." This means a person becomes a discipled follower of Christ that has the ability to grow in their faith on their own through prayer, discipleship, encouragement, and bible study.
