The time has come for our second Fundraiser for the Middle School and High School summer mission retreats. With your help we can make this a huge success. The dinner is on APRIL 10th (Sunday after AM Church). Here's How It Works:
- Get A Spaghetti Kit at any Firehouse Event beginning March 27th
- Go to the store and get ingredients to complete the kit.
- Prepare the kit and bring it to the church during our Saturday set up on April 9th @ 3pm. If you are unavailable to come Saturday please take it to the kitchen before 9:15 AM FIRE Academy (Sunday School), on the morning of the dinner – April 10th.
- Get Your Hours: Students will earn a percentage of funds raised according to the number of hours they work. Each student will check in and out during the Saturday set Up, Sunday preparation, serving and clean up.
DETAILS FOR SET UP - APRIL 9TH (SATRUDAY) AT 3:00 PM- We will have to transform our CLC into a fine Italian eatery by setting up over 15 tables with 6 to 8 chairs for each one. Also, food serving trays, trash cans, table settings, etc need to be arranged for the fundraiser on the next day and prepared foods (Spaghetti & Brownies) will be collected.
HINT: Invite family and friends that don't go to PVBC to come eat their Sunday dinner with us. The more we can get beyond our normal attenders will result in more funds raised.
Cost For Those Eating Will Be Donation ONLY
| SPAGHETTI KIT RECIPE
Your Kit Will Include: - 2 - 1 Gallon Zip Lock Bags
- 1 - Spaghetti Seasoning Packet
- 1 - Bag of Italian Seasoning
- 1 - List of Directions
You Add: - 2 Pounds of ground beef cooked and drained well.
- 3-15 ounce cans of tomato sauce
- 1 large can of tomato paste
- 3 Tablespoons of sugar
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
For The Sauce: - Mix all the above together in a large pot and simmer on low about 30 minutes.
- Place the sauce once it has cooled into the 1 Gallon Ziploc Bag provided.
For The Noodles: - Cook 2 Pounds of Spaghetti Noodles, cooked with 1 teaspoon of oil. Drain and place the Spaghetti in the gallon-sized Ziploc bag provided.
Accompany with 1 Batch of Brownies or Cookies
Please bring items to church and leave them in the kitchen during our Saturday set up on April 9th @ 3pm. If you are unavailable to come Saturday please take it to the kitchen before FIRE Academy (Sunday School) on the morning of the dinner – April 10th. |
